Our History

Thewphaingarm School was founded on 20th September, 1975 (B.E. 2518), by teachers Narong Thewphaingarm and U-Sa (Usa) Thewphaingarm. The school originally started teaching only kindergarten and was named, ‘Thewphaingarm Kindergarten School’. In 1979 (B.E.2522), the school expanded the site with the construction of 5 and 12 storey buildings to accommodate the expansion of its education from kindergarten to grade 12. These new buildings included a gymnasium, an auditorium with a capacity of 1500, a cafeteria with a capacity of 1200, and more than 60 classrooms.

During the 35 years of its operation, Thewphaingarm School has continually developed its range of facilities, its equipment, and its teaching staff - both Thai and Foreign. All of the teaching staff have attained qualifications ranging from bachelor’s to doctorate degrees. The school’s curricula have also been continually developed in order to allow all students at Thewphaingarm School to best reach their full potential.
